It has occurred to me that people reading this forum might be hesitant to register or post from seeing all the fighting, insults, etc. Therefore, I would like to see a more civil tone on the forum.
I am offering an olive branch to Kirk, Garak, and @lowell in hopes that we can discuss issues without resorting to insults and fighting. I want people to feel they can post their opinions without being attacked, and that they can have a civil debate over the issues that they're interested in and that they are concerned about.
So I will be the first to plead guilty for the argumentative tone of the forum, and pledge to tone it down moving forward.
Thoughts?

People of ill-reputed reputation are like spots on a leopard.....they won't change.....If they were disgusting a year or two ago, they will remain disgusting.....keep them out.

I'm referring to people who might be considering registering or posting. I'm not referring to 'Ben'. He's not 'people'. I'm going to ban his IP.

I don't mind someone attacking me for my beliefs. I resent it when someone presumes to tell me what my beliefs are.

I think as I said in the Chatzy it will tend to draw others in. People like drama.

Seems like every time I offered my opponent an olive branch he took it and beat me mercilessly with it, but I still like the concept no matter how many times the reality falls short.
