Steve Bannon, a longtime ally of former President Donald Trump, was sentenced Friday to serve four months behind bars after defying a subpoena from the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.
U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols allowed Bannon to stay free pending appeal and also imposed a fine of $6,500 as part of the sentence. Bannon was convicted in July of two counts of contempt of Congress: one for refusing to sit for a deposition and the other for refusing to provide documents.apnews.com/article/capitol-siege-steve-bannon-congress-donald-trump-sentencing-36d412eba9e1609a030859852378ae3dWhat do you think?

Apparently it's the capitalism way too. Breaking the law and it's legal consequences really have nothing to do with the economic system.

but bannon goes away for something lil hunter gets away with? sounds a tad commie to me These are Hunter Biden's legal troubles. 👇👇👇 "If convicted of all charges in the tax case, Hunter Biden could face up to 17 years in prison.
If convicted of all charges in the gun case, Biden could face up to 25 years in prison, but as CNN reported back in September when the charges were filed, “defendants very rarely get the maximum penalty, especially in cases like these, involving non-violent crimes and an alleged first-time offender.”www.cnn.com/2023/12/08/politics/hunter-biden-charges-what-matters/index.htmlI wouldn't want to be him.

and when they get caught,,,they have a rap sheet as long as their arm. whoever signs a release or a parole for the scum should be held responsible for whatever the thug does. like co-signing a loan.
see how many they release after that.
