HOW did they "fight" to keep minorities at the back of the bus? It was a Republican who abolished slavery much to the dismay of the Democrat party. They found another way to keep them enslaved though.

Liberalism? Conservatism? Democrat Party? Republican Party? You are in denial. I'm not going to explain all of this.

You don't have to explain. I know there are 'conservative' libs, but not many of them. The ones in power now certainly aren't.
Like I said, they found another way to keep blacks under control and enslaved.

Look, politics has been a branch of the entertainment business for years. It's been style that has won out over substance for at least the last twelve years or so.
I don't think Hillary will win if she runs (and I doubt if she'll even run).
But frankly how the Republicans thought a two-faced clown like Romney with his long history of deceit could possibly win is beyond me!

I agree. Republicans were not happy with the choice of Romney, and again, that's why Obama lucked out. Many Independents and conservatives just stayed home and didn't vote.
No other POTUS was ever re-elected with Obama's record and low job approval rating that he still has. He lucked out because the GOP picked another moderate who was afraid to be hard on Obama.
I believe Hillary will run because her ego and narcissism rivals that of Obama.

Romney is hardly what I'd call a moderate - more someone who says or does anything that he thinks his audience at the time want to hear.
But moderation IS the only way to run a country; extremism always makes things worse.
The right wing is as robotic and destructive as the left wing; it's the centrists who hold things together and rescue countries when either extreme has wrecked it.

The right wing is as robotic and destructive as the left wing; it's the centrists who hold things together and rescue countries when either extreme has wrecked it. Of course, this is the big problem, isn't it? In my adult lifetime, I've seen two national political trends take place here that completely disgust me. 1) "Greed is good!" A couple of stunning fun facts about this gem. The statement comes from a movie made by a liberal writer/director. It was made to clearly depict "the bad guy" in the most outrageous way possible. Yet, somehow it became the mantra for Financial District Management right on down to the brokers. (1940's wide eyed son Hollywood movie imitation: "Jeepers, Pa? How did Wall Street just collapse?", LOL, yea, I wonder!) 2) (and this could be worse) Political Compromise is bad. What's good for the nation isn't important. "Our way is the only way". "Even if we wreck the effin place, they'll thank us later".
