Two people make a date, but they don't make out any particulars --- what time, where, who's picking whom up, etc.
"Couple of friends are having a party tommorrow night, would you like to go?" "Yeah, sure." "Really, wow." "Yeah, why not?" Wow, I wasn't expecting . . . Okay, thanks." . . . And the asker (usually the male) just wanders out unsuredly. And the female smiles thinking the male loaded with no confidence, suredness and decisiveness was cute.

On TV shows and movies.

The police don't believe and dismiss any and all claims by the victims. Even refusing to do any investigation. Leaving the victims to fend for themselves.
This is often coupled with the victims doing a terrible job of reporting their plight to the police.
Leaving the intelligent viewer to say, "That's a stupid, unrealistic, and illogical contrivance to further the story and create false conflict.
Often in bad movies and TV shows, the victim(s) will EVENTUALLY single handedly defeat the villian(s). And the police will then arrest the villian with little or no apology. And the victim(s) will say nothing. When really they ought to say, "If you had just believed me (us) in the first place, and done any investigation --- like you were supposed to --- none of this would have happened." Leaving the police with no reply other than, "But then we would have not had any movie/TV show."
They never had one to begin with. That's why they had to employ this stupid, unrealistic and illogical contrivance.
I started watching Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp in The Tourist on Netflix. But this cliche occurred after watching a little of a not-so-good movie. So I turned it off figuring "this is stupid", and gave it a thumbs down.

Women can't have fun unless they put their hair down.
Hair up (usually in a bun) --- it's business. Hair down --- "I'm here to have fun".

And in the movies and TV, if you want to be completely unrecognizable to people who have known you for years (or for all your life), just put on a pair of glasses, and maybe a mustache if you're a guy, although Superman only needed a pair of glasses.

Everybody in a public setting clapping whenever a person proposes to another, and the "another" says yes.

The police go to their forensics department for hopeful results. The tech tells them a bunch of technical jargon they of course don't understand (and which is not important). Then the police say, "Now can you explain that in English?"

I would spot them as soon as I looked out the window.

I would spot them as soon as I looked out the window. I agree. And then when they follow them, they start their undercover cop car (usually a dark Crown Victoria), pull off, and follow right behind them. Sometimes at night. THEY'RE THE ONLY TWO CARS ON THE ROAD !!! Who wouldn't notice that ??

In horror movies, and even in murder mysteries, somebody goes to investigate a noise, or they go into a dark house, building, or room, or the police detectives doing an investigation, enter a dark place --- AND THEY DON'T TURN THE LIGHTS ON !!!
Sometimes they search with a flashlight, or even by ambient light, when there's a ligh switch right there, and the electricity is still on.
Sometimes there's an extended search or chase through multiple dark rooms.
You know it's supposed to be scary because you can tell by the music.
No surprise when they get frightened or victimized by whatever is hiding in the darkness.
You know the electricity and lights work because after whatever happens, the police come to do a post incident investigation --- AND ALL THE LIGHTS ARE ON !!!
No matter what happens, it never would have happened if they had just turned the lights on to begin with.

Cops talk about the details of an important murder case --- while walking down a crowded sidewalk, or in a crowded restaurant --- and nobody around them pays attention.
Kids (and sometimes adults) have an important and/or provocative discussion in a crowded school hall --- and nobody around them pays attention.
Two or more people have a screaming argument on a busy sidewalk, and people just walk by like nothing is happening.
Somebody in a car chases somebody else in a car at night, in a city or town --- speeding and squealing --- and no vehicular traffic or people walking or standing around anywhere. They even damage their vehicles and other things around --- even shots fired --- and no police ever appear.

Somebody pulls someone aside from a group and starts talking about someone who's within earshot as if that person can't hear what's being said.

High schools being portrayed as being ruled by bullies and cliques.
I'm 61. I went to high school in the 70s. I didn't go to the same school all my elementary friends went to. I never had any problem with bullies or cliques.
Same with my two sisters in the 80s.
Usually the only characters are the victim, the victim's only friend, the bully, and his or her gang. All the other kids at the school (usually 100s) are portrayed as window dressing. There is nobody cool or decent in the the other 100s of kids that the victim could be friends with?
